The authenticity of an implant kit can be determined through three comprehensive methods: official anti-counterfeiting and traceability system, packaging and label verification, and verification of channel legitimacy. This ensures the use of genuine products and guarantees surgical safety.

1. Scan the QR code for verification:

Use the official anti-counterfeiting and traceability system. Most reputable brands (such as Straumann, Nobel, Osstem, and IZEN Korea) are equipped with a "one item, one code" anti-counterfeiting system:

Scan the unique QR code on the packaging box or enter the anti-counterfeiting code to access the brand's official query page.

The system will display the first query time and product distribution information. If it prompts "This code is the first query," it is a brand new, genuine product; if it displays "Unable to trace" or shows a repeated query, there is a risk of counterfeiting.

Some brands also provide dedicated APP or WeChat official account anti-counterfeiting functions, such as Dentium implants, which support APP traceability.

2. Verify packaging and product labeling

Packaging integrity: Genuine packaging is well-sealed, clearly printed, and free of spelling errors or blurry patterns.

Completeness of Information: The product should include brand name, model number, production date, batch number, sterilization method, applicable systems, and ISO/FDA/CE certification marks.

Material and Craftsmanship: Genuine instruments have a smooth, burr-free surface; stainless steel has a uniform matte finish; key components have laser-engraved brand logos or serial numbers.

3. Confirm Procurement Channels and Institutional Qualifications:

Legitimate medical institutions typically use legally registered products with the National Medical Products Administration. You can request to see their Medical Device Business License and Product Registration Certificate.

Original factory kits will include a unique serial number and traceability label, supporting quality tracking and avoiding the use of counterfeit or refurbished instruments from unknown sources.
